The LMFX would like to inform you that due to the upcoming Turkish General Election, which will take place on 24th June 2018, as from the 22‌nd June 2018 at 21:00 GMT, the USDTRY pair will be placed in close-only mode.

The above means that as of 22‌nd June 2018, you will no longer be able to open new orders on the USDTRY pair. You will however be able to close all open and pending orders without restrictions.

Any pending order left open, if triggered during the close-only mode, will be cancelled instead.

This is a protective short term measure taken due to underlying market conditions and the surrounding market uncertainty which is likely to cause adverse trading conditions for our clients.

The Instrument will be placed back into standard trading conditions once the referendum results are released and regular market conditions are resumed.

Dear Client,

We would like to inform you that due to the upcoming 2nd round of the French Elections, which will be held on 7th of May, uncertain market conditions such as price gaps, high volatility, thin liquidity and abnormal spreads are expected.

On Friday the 5th of May at 3PM GMT time, the margin requirements for all EUR pairs will be increased to 1% (1:100 Leverage). This will be applicable to all new and existent positions, and to all accounts no matter their current leverage.

In addition, the contracts for French and German indices will be switched to close-only mode as from 9PM GMT time on Thursday the 4th of May.

The affected indices are: GER30, FRA40

In light of the above please note that within the next few days restrictive trading conditions such as an increase of margin requirements across several instruments and instruments being place on close-only mode may apply.

LMFX would like to inform you that due to the upcoming Turkish Constitutional Referendum, which will take place on 16th April 2017, as from the 13th April 2017 at 9:00 GMT, the USDTRY pair will be placed in close-only mode.

The above means that as of 13th April 2017 you will no longer be able to open new orders on the USDTRY pair. You will however be able to close all open and pending orders without restrictions.

Any pending order left open, if triggered during the close-only mode, will be cancelled instead.

This is a protective short term measure taken due to underlying market conditions and the surrounding market uncertainty which is likely to cause adverse trading conditions for our clients.

The Instrument will be placed back into standard trading conditions once the referendum results are released and regular market conditions are resumed.

LMFX Brexit update | Improved Margin Requirements

We would like to inform you LMFX has reassessed the market conditions surrounding the upcoming British Referendum (Brexit) and decided to ease the margin requirements on all of the trading instruments available on our trading platform.

In light of the above please note that the margin requirements for all GBP pairs are going to be adjusted to 1% (1:100). In addition, all remaining Forex pairs will be adjusted to 0.5% (1:200).

The above will be applicable as from the 20th of June and to all trading accounts no matter its current leverage level.

This means that as of today you will be able to continue your regular trading activities and maintain any long term strategies you might have throughout the referendum process. 

Despite the above LMFX will continue monitoring the British Referendum developments closely and in the event of the market conditions worsening prior to the voting date or around the time the results are published further trading restrictions might apply. 

This is an automatic process which will not require any action from your side and your account will not be affected in any other way.

We would like to inform you that on Thursday, the 23th of June 2016, a referendum will take place in the UK to determine whether the British population wishes to maintain their European Union membership.

The UK referendum often shortened to Brexit is a major political event that is expected to impact the financial markets and may result in high volatility, price gaps/spikes, lack of liquidity, widened spreads or other movements in the markets.

As an initial measure, LMFX is taking some preventative steps to protect the best interests of its clients and the Company and to ensure a continuous safe trading environment for all parties.

In light of the above, please be informed that on, Friday the 17th of June at market close, the margin requirements for all GBP pairs will be increased to 4% (1:25). In addition all remaining Forex pairs and gold margins will be increased to 2% (1:50). This will be applied to existent and new orders and to all accounts no matter their current leverage.

As a result of the above mentioned adjustments we kindly request that you evaluate your current positions and calculate whether further funding will be necessary to maintain your open positions. We strongly advise you to perform the necessary funding actions well in advance, in order to ensure your account will be well-funded before the referendum takes place.

LMFX Important announcement regarding DST time change

Due to the upcoming Daylight Savings Time (DST) start date, the time of our Trading Server will be set to GMT +3 on Sunday 27th March 2016.

Regular trading hours resume on the 30th of October 2016 when the DST ends.
